About us

Welcome to Gorgonia Diving, the first choice for fun, professional diving holidays in Croatia. We are a recognised SSI and BSAC diving cente and provide expert diving holidays in a superb Mediterranean destination, for every level of diver and non-divers. The dive centre is postioned in the beautiful island town of Vela Luka, and has fantastic views of the bay,the harbour and the surrounding valleys.

We offer diving on Korcula Island and diving on Lastovo Island, the Marine National Park of Croatia. The diving includes some of the best deep wreck diving, cave diving, canyon diving and beautiful wall diving in Croatia.

To make the most of this diving, we have the latest in gas mixing technology, making us one of the few dive centers offering Nitrox diving in Croatia.

The area is known for its variety of flora and fauna, and its amazing underwater rock formations. With huge walls full of red and yellow gorgonias; soft sponges and corals, combined with great variety of marine life, make for the most interesting and exciting diving in Croatia. We also have many amazing cave and canyon dives available, with the very popular "Blue Hole" being a favourite of all our divers.

The Dive Centre

Gorgonia Diving Centre is located in a beautiful tourist destination, with traditional Mediterranean style and culture. The dive centre itself is a registered SSI Diver Training Facility, a BSAC Resort Centre and a ScubaPro diving centre. We offer the very latest in diver training with complete audio and visual training materials in 15 languages and experienced instructors to guide you all the way. We have the very latest in diving equipment, in many differrent sizes and all professionally maintained. We have cleaning areas and safe storage at the dive centre for all your personal diving equipment. Infront of the centre, we have our very own private dock for our 8.50 meter, 320hp fast dive RIB, enabling us to get you to the best dive sites fast and in comfort!!! The centre and staff are covered by DAN (Divers Alert Network) insurance. Medical assistance is readily available in Vela Luka. There is a Hyperbaric chamber in Split (rapid transport by helicopter).

The Dive boats

**Brand New for 2008 - 9,20m RIB**

• RIS RM850 - 9,20m, RIB, 320hp Mercruiser, teak diving platform and capacity for 15 divers.
• MB Slavija - 16m, traditional day boat with BBQ lunch and capacity for 20 divers.
• All boats are equipped with full oxygen equipment, first aid, GPS, Sonar,  radio and telephone.
• Medical assistance is readily available in Vela Luka. There is a Hyperbaric chamber in Split (rapid transport by helicopter).
