Croatia is positioned in central Europe, opposite Italy on the Adriatic Sea. There are many flights to Croatia from budget airlines and tour operators. The airports closest to Vela Luka are Split and Dubrovnik. These two cities have direct transport to Vela Luka by bus and ferry.
- Airlines flying to Croatia include: Wizz Air, British Airways, Ryan Air, Thompsonfly, Croatia Airlines, Easyjet. German Wings, Lufthansa, Air France.

- Split
Arrival via Split is simple. A short bus ride from the airport will take you to the ferry port in the centre of Split city. From Split there are 2 ferrys a day and a high speed catamarran service. These are relatively cheap and cost around 35kn (5€) oneway per person. The journey time is between 2 and 3 hours and takes you past several beautiful island such as Brac and Hvar. Once you arrive in Vela Luka, transfers will be arranged for you to the dive centre and your accommodtion.
Please before bookng your flights, take a quick look at the ferry timetables below to prevent missing a ferry or a long delay in Split. (Allow 2 hours after landing in Split for customs and the bus journey).
- Dubrovnik
Travelling from Dubrovnik to Vela Luka is by bus or arranged transfer. First a short bus ride from the airport will take you to the bus station in Dubrovnik city. From here you can get a bus direct to the centre of Vela Luka. The bus journey is a beautiful trip through the wine valleys of Croatias Peljasac pennisula. In peak season there are 2 buses a day running the 4-5 hour journey between Dubrovnik and Vela luka. Travelling on the bus cost around 80kn (12€) oneway per person.

- Ferries
Arriving in Vela Luka via ferry is possible from Split, Hvar and Lastovo.
